AARON JUDGE MAKES HISTORY, FUTURE MET HOMERS
by: Ismael Nunez
In the words of former long time New York Mets Broadcaster, Lindsey Nielson, “At 10/4/22 7pm New York time, Aaron Judge enters baseball immortality with his 62rd Home Run! Making him the new Home Run King of the American League.”
The New York Yankees broadcaster proudly said, “How about that! After a long wait of walks, strikeouts, singles it happened. If one saw the game it looks at if there more New York Yankee fans at the Texas Rangers game.”
There was some criticism as to why he was taken out after making history. Yankee fans, you’re going to the postseason and he needs his rest! Let’s not forget when the Yankees slumped badly in August until early September the one who carried the team was Judge. Now lets see how this team will do in this postseason.
While here in New York City New York Mets catcher, Francisco Alvarez, hit his first Home Run in the second game of the doubleheader against the Washington Nationals. As the New York Mets broadcasters stated “Welcome to Citi Field Francsico Alvarez.” The Mets have had a problem with catchers in the past: A bat yes, yet no hitting! For many fans this could the future catcher for the franchise. Yet as the saying goes “Wait till next year.”
