WHY HAS NO TEAM PICKED UP GIANTS 1B BRANDON BELT? (HE IS A FREE AGENT)

Somebody recently asked me “whatever happened to Brandon Belt”?

Belt reminds me of an old Volvo I used to own, had it all the way from new,  until it was breaking down, with frequency and repairs did not really make the car any better, and it was not worthwhile to keep it anymore.

Belt had operation to repair cartilage in his right knee in September this year– his third operation on that knee since 2015. He is “one injury” away from ending his career. Not that he was ever a speedster but he is always a top candidate with runner(s) on to hit into a double play, not to mention that at first base he is not a good defensive player anymore.

Do not be surprised if he announces his retirement very soon. He is hoping some other team out there still believes in him, he wants another shot. He had a good run , won two World Series rings with the Giants. Good luck.
